Irish Lashes (he/him) is here to preposition you under, on top of, and between the gender binary. Since 2017, this trans masculine boylesque performer has been blurring gender expectations in Seattle, WA and beyond. He is happy to dance or host in equal measure, because all performance is a way to express love of the craft.
In 2018 he started producing burlesque shows under the label Irish Lashes Productions. Some production favorites include SCIENCE (2019), What We Do Behind The Curtains: a What We Do In The Shadows Tribute (2021), The Letterkenny Talent Show co-produced with the Stay Up Late Show (2022), and AHH!BBA co-produced with Pat Smear (2022 & 2024).
Irish Lashes has been costuming and crafting for over 25 years. From a young age, his mother insisted he learn to sew his own Halloween costumes. He has dabbled in many other fiber crafts, including knit and crochet, needlepoint, and quilting. Growing up with friends and family who have dietary, sensory, and mobility needs, Irish has always been determined to find alternative options to standard conventions. This inspired designing tulle and organza boas as feather alternatives, as well as quick release variations, so everyone can do burlesque!
When he isn't performing campy social commentaries, producing neo-nerdlesque, designing inclusive and affirming costumes, or inundating audiences with bad jokes as host, he is committed to the preservation and continuation of burlesque as a queer artform. He is the current Revenue Chair for BurlyCon, the burlesque education and social convention in Seattle, WA. His mission as Revenue Chair is financial equity with giving access to classes while compensating teachers for their efforts.
